9+1 Credit Qualifying Virtual Races

Over the second half of 2020, the remainder of the NYRR Volvo Virtual Racing Powered by Strava race schedule will feature 12 virtual races. On account of the ongoing health and safety risks associated with COVID-19, five of the new Virtual Races will be designated 9+1 program qualifier races and will count as credit towards completion of the 9+1 program in 2020.

Runners can complete the 9+1 qualifier program in 2020, however they are not guaranteed entry for 2021. With the health and safety of runners during the ongoing global pandemic being our top priority, the field sizes for future New York Road Runners events have yet to be determined.

Please note: Runners who were registered for qualifying in-person races that are canceled can choose the TCS New York City Marathon 9+1 qualifier credit option as their race cancellation resolution. Runners will earn credit for each race for which they choose the qualifier credit option.

Pricing Structure

For runners looking to earn credit toward only the Virtual 6 guaranteed entry program, each race except for the Virtual TCS New York City Marathon will have an entry fee of $20 for NYRR members and $30 for non-members.

For runners looking to earn credit toward both the Virtual 6 and the 9+1 guaranteed entry programs, each race except for the Virtual TCS New York City Marathon will have an entry fee of $25 for NYRR members and $35 for non-members.

All NYRR Volvo Virtual Racing Powered by Strava events also offer a General Entry tier, providing runners with the option to register for the race for free. Registration through the General Entry tier does not earn credit for the Virtual 6 program or the 9+1 program.
