On August 13, Rising NYRR Youth Ambassadors proudly celebrated the completion of their speech fundamentals and public-speaking workshop. The graduation ceremony featured speeches delivered by each ambassador in front of an audience of family, friends, and staff at the NYRR RUNCENTER.
Participants from 2024 summer cohort of NYRR Run for the Future, a free seven-week program for high school girls in New York City with little to no running experience, ran their first celebratory 5K at the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K.

Based on their outstanding 2023 performances, runners were nominated for awards that were presented at NYRR Youth Awards Night. These runners’ incredible achievements were celebrated as we honored the best of the New York City youth running community.
Rising New York Road Runners offers free year-round youth running events throughout NYC. The world-class events combine structured running with fitness activities to give kids a fun and rewarding experience, so they want to continue to be active for the rest of their lives.
