About

Fred Lebow Half Marathon Logo

Honor the legacy of Fred Lebow at the 2025 NYRR Fred Lebow Half Marathon!

This race celebrates the legacy of Fred Lebow (1932-1994), the late NYRR president and co-founder of the New York City Marathon. Tackle multiple loops of Central Park's iconic Ted Corbitt Loop for a fun January challenge or as the perfect kick-off to your spring marathon training. Be sure to wave “Hi” to the life-sized bronze statue of Fred by artist Jesus Ygnacio Dominguez at East 90th Street as you make your way along the course.

All participants will receive a cozy New Balance winter beanie hat to commemorate the race.
