Registration Tiers
The 2024 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon offers four tiers for entry. Read on for information about each tier or select an option from the list below.
New this year, registration for the Virtual TCS New York City Marathon Guaranteed Entry tier will take place via a non-guaranteed entry drawing. The window to apply to the drawing will be from June 12, 2024 to June 19, 2024, and the drawing will take place on June 24, 2024. Selected applicants will be notified via email. To apply to the drawing, fill out the form for the 2024 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon (Guaranteed Entry) drawing when the form is available on June 12.
The NYRR Team for Kids tier lets you add meaning to your miles by fundraising for NYRR’s youth and community program as you earn a guaranteed entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon.
Or join the Virtual Marathon Challenge when you sign up for the Finisher Medal or Love of Running tier and run 26.2 miles anytime during the week. You can choose to run a marathon in a single day or over the course of the week, it’s up to you as long your miles equal 26.2!

Entry: $55 NYRR members | $65 non-members

More Info: The Finisher Medal Tier is a part of the Virtual Marathon Challenge and can be completed with multiple activities anytime during the week. You can choose to run a marathon in a single day or over the course of several runs during the week that add up to 26.2 miles.

- 60-day Strava subscription**
Finishers receive:
- Virtual TCS New York City Marathon finisher medal and keychain^
- Strava digital finisher badge
Love of Running
Entry: Free
Spots: Unlimited
More Info: The Love of Running Tier is a part of the Virtual Marathon Challenge and can be completed with multiple activities anytime during the week. You can choose to run a marathon in a single day or over the course of several runs during the week that add up to 26.2 miles.
Registrants receive:
- Digital race day toolkit
- 30-day Strava subscription**
Finishers receive:
- Strava digital finisher badge
Guaranteed Entry
Entry: $175 NYRR members | $200 non-members
Spots: Limited Capacity | Drawing*
More Info: The Guaranteed Entry Tier must be completed in one activity during race week.
Registrants receive:
- Digital race day toolkit
- 60-day Strava subscription**
Finishers receive:
- Guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon
- Virtual TCS New York City Marathon finisher medal and keychain^
- Strava digital finisher badge
NYRR Team for Kids
Funds raised by Team for Kids members support NYRR youth and community programs. This includes Rising New York Road Runners, NYRR’s youth program and events platform. Through school-based programs, youth events, and a collection of digital resources, Rising New York Road Runners brings free running and fitness programs to students across the country.

*Guaranteed Entry and Team for Kids registration is not open to runners registered for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon.
**Runners who previously had or currently have a Strava subscription cannot redeem a 30- or 60-day trial. Runners cannot redeem a Strava subscription trial more than once on their account. Learn more on Strava's web site.
^Finishers will receive their finisher package in the mail at the address provided in their NYRR profile. Packages will be shipped after the race time frame. Domestic and international runners will be contacted via email once their finisher package is shipped and provided with a tracking number.
