Come spend the day with us in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park for the Flushing Meadows Kids Run at the Citizens Queens 10K. The park continues to draw visitors from all five boroughs for its historic walks, scenic trails, and other fun activities.

Registration for this event is FREE and open to participants ages 2 to 18 of all abilities. Every finisher will receive a medal and a New Balance souvenir. Please note that souvenirs are subject to availability.

  • Stage 2: Register on this page only for participants ages 8 to 18 for an untimed non-competitive half-mile run.
  • Stage 3: Visit the Stage 3 page to register participants ages 12 to 18 for a timed and competitive 1-mile race.
  • Stage 1: Visit the Stage 1 page to register participants ages 2 to 11 that are new to running and physical activity, for non-competitive short dashes.

The chart below is a guide to the stages available. Use the chart to determine the appropriate stage for your child. If you need help determining your child's stage, contact our Runner Services team.

Race Number Pickup

 

Race numbers may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth Avenues) on the following dates:

  • Monday, June 3, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. 
  • Tuesday, June 4, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, June 5, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, June 6, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 7, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 8, 9:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.  
  • Sunday, June 9, 9:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. 
  • Monday, June 10, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. 
  • Tuesday, June 11, 9:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.

Race Numbers will also be available for pickup at the CItizens Woodside Branch (5120 Northern Boulevard, Woodside, NY) on the following dates:

  • Thursday, June 13, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, June 14, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Parents and guardians of runners are encouraged to pick up race numbers at the NYRR RUNCENTER to avoid race-day lines.

On race day, Stage 2 race number pickup will be available from 7:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Race-Day Central, located on Avenue of Progress in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. If you plan to pick up a runner's race number on race day, please arrive at least 60 minutes before the start of their run.

Race Day


Bag Check

 

Bag check will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Race-Day Central on Avenue of Progress in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Planning to check a bag on race morning? While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at number pickup, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep, with the tag affixed.

NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.

Start Location / Map

Participants will run an out-and-back course that starts and finishes on Meridian Road (at the adult Citizens Queens 10K start line). Runners will begin by heading southwest toward Rodman Walk, make a U-turn shortly after passing Rodman Walk, and then head back to the start line.

Parking

 

Parking passes are available for pre-purchase online and on race day for Citi Field parking lots. Parking is $40 for compact cars and $80 for any car larger than a 7-8 person SUV (except for ADA vans). The Southfield Lot will be the main parking lot, please use Gate 16 and Gate 17. Cash will not be accepted.

Souvenirs

 

Finishers will receive a medal and New Balance arm sleeve. Please note that souvenirs are subject to availability.

Souvenirs will only be distributed on race day from 8:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the orange Rising New York Road Runners souvenir tent on Avenue of Progress in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. A youth race number must be presented to collect the event souvenir.

Cancellation Policy

 

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, participants will be informed as soon as possible, including communication of participant resolution options. Events will not be rescheduled.
