New Balance Bronx 10 Mile

Start Location

The race starts near Yankee Stadium in one mass start on Grand Concourse just north of 165th Street and will head north. Runners will continue running north to Mosholu Parkway

At Mosholu Parkway, runners will turn left, heading west, and will make a U-turn just before Sedgwick Avenue. Runners will continue east on Mosholu Parkway until they reach Hull Avenue, where they will make another U-turn and head west on Mosholu Parkway back toward Grand Concourse.

At Grand Concourse, runners will turn left and head south, continuing on Grand Concourse until 161st Street.

At 161st Street, runners will turn right and continue toward the finish line. Runners will reach the finish line soon after crossing River Avenue and the subway overpass.

On race day, number pickup will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Race-Day Central (located on 161st. in front of Macombs Dam Park).

Show your race confirmation email or the QR code from your NYRR account to pick up your race materials.

If you pick up your bib on race day, your New Balance short sleeve shirt will be available after the race.

Bag check will be available beginning at 6:30 am at Race-Day Central (located on 161st. in front of Macombs Dam Park).

Planning to check a bag on race morning? While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at number pickup, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep, with the tag affixed.

We strongly encourage participants and their families to take public transportation (the 4 and D trains) to and from the event.

Take the 4 or D train to 161 Street-Yankee Stadium for Race-Day Central and to enter the start corrals.

Public parking is available for purchase at a 24-hour garage located at 71 E 153rd St, Bronx NY 10452. Enter via the entrance on 153rd St.

The NYRR Pace Team members are some of the experienced runners in New York City and the most knowable runners on the course. They have an average success rate of 96.5% of hitting their finish target finish time. Pacers will be on hand to guide participants toward specific goal times over the 10 miles. Pace Team members will lead groups at various paces between 7:00 per mile and 11:30 per mile (between a 1:10 finish and a 1:55 finish).

If you choose to run with a pace group, you can look for the NYRR Pace Team members in the start corrals wearing their blue-and-white-striped NYRR Pace Team singlets. Each Team member will carry signs that correspond with their respective finish times and paces. There is no fee to run with the pace team or sign-up process.

Live, unofficial results will be available in the NYRR Racing App and at liveresults.nyrr.org during the event.

After the conclusion of the event, official results will be posted on results.nyrr.org.

Awards will be presented on site to the top-three finishers in the overall men, women, and non-binary divisions. Runners who place in the top-three of their age group will be able to claim an award in the days following the race by filling out our Age-Group Awards Claim Form.

MarathonFoto will be on the course for this race.

All prize money amounts equal for men, women, and non-binary categories. To be eligible for prize money and time bonuses, including Top Bronx Finisher, a runner must have been a NYRR member since at least June 17, 2023, including the date of the race, and must complete the course in 1 hour 10 minutes or less. All prize money divisions determined by Gun Time. Eligibility requirements for all prize money and bonuses are available here.

Top Bronx Finisher

The top man, woman, and non-binary finisher from Bronx will be awarded $500. Residency is determined by zip code at the time of registration. Cumulative with overall prize money, if applicable.

Time Bonuses

A $100 time bonus is available for the men's, women's and/or non-binary's race winners who break the existing event record, based on Gun Time. The bonus is available to the race winner only. An athlete must break, not tie, the record to earn the bonus.

A $100 time bonus is available for the top three finishers under the following standards, based on Net Time.

• The Hard Rock Cafe Yankee Stadium is offering all runners wearing their New Balance Bronx 10 Mile bib any draft beer for $5. The Cafe hours on September 17 are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This deal is only available at the Hard Rock Cafe Yankee Stadium.

The  4 Out of 6 program allows NYRR members who meet the eligibility requirements to gain guaranteed entry to the United Airlines NYC Half.

Eligibility for entry to the 2024 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who complete four qualifying events in 2023 and have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the 2023 4 Out of 6 program (the NYRR Staten Island Half in October).

If NYRR cancels an offering due to an increase of local COVID-19 cases or on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, participants will be informed as soon as possible, including communication of participant resolution options. Events will not be rescheduled.
