Remembering Ted Corbitt, Pioneer Known for "Quiet Activism," on the 100th Anniversary of His Birth
Celebrate a running pioneer and run the Virtual NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K Powered by Strava, anytime and anyplace you wish, between November 30 and December 6. This race honors Ted Corbitt (1919–2007), the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and an ultramarathon pioneer who ran more than 200,000 miles in his lifetime!
All registrants will be emailed a printable, personalized bib to wear for their virtual race. Follow and use #TedCorbitt15K in your social posts to share your progress and celebrate Ted Corbitt.
