What program do you coach?
NYRR Group Training

How would you describe your coaching style?
I approach each runner as an individual: your gaits and goals are all unique. My job then is to listen and find out what you want to get out of your running. Then I help you get there, keep you motivated, and help you handle the highs—and weather the lows—all runners face. For that to happen, we establish trust. We get technical too. I want you to understand why you’re performing each workout and exactly how it benefits your fitness and serves your goals. And then we have a lot of fun doing it.

What is your proudest coaching moment?
Honestly, I’m proud every time a runner fights the forces of inertia and gets out the door. It’s always easier NOT to do something than to do it.

What is your favorite workout to coach and why?
Every workout you didn’t think you could do.

How many years have you been coaching?
10+ years

Where is your favorite place to run in New York City?
I love to run to and next to water. I trained for my first marathon on the lakeshore in Chicago, and later, along the Charles River in Boston. Here, you’ll find me running in Brooklyn Bridge Park, out to Coney Island and Rockaway Beach, and in Manhattan, up and down the West Side Highway, along the East River, and then back home to Brooklyn.

What is your favorite NYRR race?
Every race I cheer!

What is your personal running motto?
Woman up.
