Allison Yamamoto

  • Group Training

Allison grew up running local 5Ks and fun runs. Over the years, she’s expanded her training to include half marathons and marathons. Allison believes that running can be an opportunity to build strength, to challenge yourself, and to feel alive and joyful. Inspired by her personal history with under-fueling and running, she specializes in 1:1 coaching for people who struggle with RED-S, overexercising, under-eating, and finding confidence in their bodies and sustainability in movement. She looks forward to working with runners toward their goals.

How would you describe your coaching style?
I believe that the best run is any run that ends safely. In addition, I believe that running is an opportunity to get more in tune with your body and your motivations in order to train hard and allow yourself to rest. I value directness and honesty, and I understand that each individual has their own story and life alongside and in addition to who they are as a runner.

What is your proudest coaching moment?
Every moment when someone does something they didn't think possible.

What is your favorite workout to coach and why?
Tempo runs. They're uncomfortable yet effective.
