Dinée Dorame is a citizen of the Navajo Nation, a podcast host, and a lifelong runner. Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, she graduated from Yale University in 2015 and worked in admissions at Yale for three years before moving back to New Mexico to work more directly with her community. For five years she was the associate director of College Horizons, a national college access program providing admission and financial aid workshops for Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian high school students and families.

Supported by a Tracksmith Fellowship, Dinée launched The Grounded Podcast in 2020. As host, she explores the relationship between running, culture, land, and community through long-form conversations with runners of all backgrounds and levels.

A self-described running nerd, Dinée joined NYRR’s Contributors Circle in April 2022. She has written blog posts about growing up in a running-centered community, overcoming injury and illness, and embracing Navajo women’s running culture, among other topics. She ran the 2022 Mastercard New York Mini 10K and participated in the TCS New York City Marathon Opening Ceremony by introducing NYRR’s first land acknowledgment ceremony in cooperation with the Red Hawk Council – a role that she will take on again in 2023.
