Runners, are you ready to take on the last race in the 2022 NYRR Five-Borough Series: the NYRR Staten Island Half? We're excited too, and as race week kicks off, we urge you to check out these race-day logistics to ensure you have a smooth start on October 9.

Race-Day Bib Pickup
If you need to pick up your bib on race day, you can do so at Race-Day Central (map), located at Staten Island St. George Ferry Terminal by Richmond Terrace between Wall Street and Schuyler Street from 6:30 a.m to 8:00 a.m.

Arrive with Time to Spare
We strongly recommend using public transportation, including the Staten Island Ferry. Ferries run every 30 minutes and the service is free. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes. Check MTA Planned Service Changes for updates, follow @NYCT Subway on Twitter and register for text alerts.

Plan your transportation based on your wave and what you need to do before entering your corral:

Wave 1 (8:00 a.m. start): Arrive by 6:30 a.m. (take the 6:00 a.m. ferry) if you have not picked up your bib or need to check a bag. Arrive by 7:15-7:30 a.m. (take the 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. ferry) if you have already picked up your number and don't need to check a bag.

Wave 2 (8:30 a.m. start): Arrive by 7:00 a.m. (take the 6:30 a.m. ferry) if you have not picked up your bib or need to check a bag. Arrive by 7:45-8:00 a.m. (take the 7:00 a.m. or 7:30 a.m. ferry) if you have already picked up your number and don't need to check a bag.

Your checked bag must be the clear plastic bag with the tag affixed that is available at bib pickup either at the NYRR RUNCENTER before race day OR at Race-Day Central the morning of the race.

Parking is available at the following locations:

St. George Courthouse Garage (54 Central Avenue)
Public Parking Lot (55 Central Avenue)
Allied St. George Corp. (25 Wall Street)
New York Wheel Garage (155 Richmond Terrace)

Rehydrate and Refuel on Course

There will be fluid stations with water, Gatorade Endurance, and restrooms on the course located approximately every mile. Runners are encouraged to bring their own fluid bottles, and hydration belts will be permitted. Any hydration pack worn over the shoulder will not be permitted.

Science in Sport (SiS) will have a Gel Zone on course near mile 8 (Father Capodanno Boulevard). Various flavors and a caffeinated gel will be available.

Celebrate Your Finish

After you finish, you'll receive your finisher medal and a Runner Recovery Bag presented by Hospital for Special Surgery containing recovery items including Flow Alkaline Spring Water, Gatorade® Thirst Quencher, a New York State McIntosh apple, Snyder's of Hanover pretzels, and a Science in Sport Energy Bar.

Runners are invited to stop by the HSS Runner Recovery Zone to stretch out with help from one of Hospital for Special Surgery's expert physical therapists.
