NYRR Coaching Lab by Runcoach is a personalized virtual training program that will provide guidance, structure, and accountability to set you up for success whether your goal is to PR at your next race or to make it across the finish line of your first half marathon. You can choose from a race-specific program to train for our marquee races — the United Airlines NYC Half or the RBC Brooklyn Half — or a time-based plan.

Product Overview

How It Works

 

New York Road Runners has partnered with Runcoach, a running-focused training app, to offer our running community access to a personalized and adaptive training program to help you meet your running goals.

  • After joining Coaching Lab by Runcoach you will be asked to input your goal race and non-goal races, recent race time or current milage, and how often you’d like to work out, rest, and cross train.
  • With that information, the patented algorithm will create a training plan and adjust the plan as you input your activity.
  • You will receive daily or weekly email reminders about your training assignments, on and off target monitoring, and activity milestones.
  • Track your workout with your mobile device and other popular devices or apps, including Garmin, Runkeeper, Strava, Apple Watch, and Fitbit.
  • If you miss a workout, the plan will recalculate accordingly to help you stay on track.
  • You can consult your personal USATF-certified coach about training, nutrition, or injuries.

FAQ

 

How does the 1:1 coaching work?

After signing up for the program, you will be automatically assigned a coach who will be available to you throughout the program to answer questions about training, progress, injuries, or goals. Simply message them through the app and you’ll receive an answer within 24 business hours.

Which program is right for me?

If you are training specifically for one of our marquee races the United Airlines NYC Half, the RBC Brooklyn Half, or the TCS New York City Marathon — sign up for that race-specific training program and you’ll benefit from the tips to tackle each course.

If you are training for multiple races, pursuing the 9+1, getting back into running, or just need extra motivation and accountability, the time-based plans are right for you.

What if I have an issue with the app or my plan?

If you can log into the app, please send a message to your coach. Otherwise, please email training@nyrr.org and someone will reply within 24 business hours.

What if I want to cancel my plan?

NYRR has a no refund policy therefore all sales are final and non-refundable.
