Application to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon non-guaranteed entry drawing will be open from February 11 - 25. A drawing for accepted entries took place on March 5.

NYRR Member-Only Second-Chance Drawing for the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon
Current members of New York Road Runners who meet the eligibility criteria and apply to the non-guaranteed general entry drawing will automatically be entered into the NYRR Member-Only Second-Chance Drawing on March 5. Selected members will have until May 1, 2025 to register through this event page and pay their entry fee.
9+1 Program
NYRR members who, in 2024, run nine qualifying NYRR races and volunteer at one qualifying event, are eligible to claim guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon during the guaranteed entry claim period from February 5 - 25. To be considered a member, you must have an active membership by December 31, 2024.
5K and 10K Philanthropic Memberships
NYRR Philanthropic Members at the 5K and 10K level receive guaranteed entry to the TCS New York City Marathon and VIP runner hospitality, among other annual benefits, in thanks for their support of NYRR's vision to build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running.
Charities
Runners can add meaning to their miles and earn guaranteed entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon by running with one of our official charity partners.

Cancellation in 2024
Entrants who cancelled their entry to the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon according to the cancellation guidelines are eligible to claim guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2025 race during the guaranteed entry claim period from February 5 - 25.
International Tour Operators
Non-US residents can book their marathon package with guaranteed entry through an Official International Tour Operator. Marathon packages can include hotel and/or flight to New York City.
NYRR Virtual Racing
Runners who registered for the Virtual TCS New York City Marathon (Guaranteed Entry) in 2024 and complete their virtual race gain guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Finishers will also recieve a Virtual TCS New York City Marathon finisher medal and keychain. Registrants receive access to a 60-day Strava subscription.
Completed 15-Plus
Runners who finish their 15th New York City Marathon are eligible for guaranteed non-complimentary entry in future years. These runners can claim their guaranteed non-complimentary entry during the claim period from February 5 - 25.
Time-Qualifying Standards
Runners who meet time standards in 2024 at specific NYRR races are eligible for guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Runners who qualify at an eligible NYRR race can claim their guaranteed non-complimentary entry during the claim period from February 5 - 25. NYRR offers a limited number of entries to athletes who meet the time qualifying standards at a certified full marathon race that is not held by NYRR. All athletes who meet the time qualifying standards are invited to apply, however submission of a qualifying time does not guarantee entry. Time-qualifying runners can apply for guaranteed non-complimentary entry during the Non-NYRR TQ application period from February 11 - 18.
