New York, October 2, 2024 – Nonprofit New York Road Runners (NYRR) announced today a compelling lineup of panels and programming for the Citizens Stage at the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance, taking place from Thursday, October 31 through Saturday, November 2.

New York Road Runners, which aims to transform lives and build communities through the transformative power of running. will showcase its impact as a nonprofit and highlight the strength of its partnerships across three days of free, open-to-the-public programs that will feature special guests from the running industry and local community, as well as professional athletes and legends of the sport.

On the Citizens Stage, New York Road Runners will showcase its sustainability efforts through an NYRR Team for Climate panel, highlight the 50th anniversary of Kathrine Switzer’s iconic New York City Marathon victory, and preview this year’s professional athlete races with members of the broadcast talent team.

The Citizens Stage programming will feature panels led by NYRR partners, including Citizens hosting a discussion with financial journalist Jean Chatzky; Maybelline, the first-ever Official Cosmetics Partner of the TCS New York City Marathon, holding a Beauty Beyond the Surface panel; and Mastercard, a Foundation level partner, hosting the REI Podcast Wild Things Worth Living as well as the Hurdle Podcast with Emily Abbate, featuring 2017 TCS New York City Marathon champion, Shalane Flanagan.

A number of additional podcasts with special guests will be recorded on the Citizens Stage, including NYRR Set the Pace Presented by Peloton – the official podcast of New York Road Runners – as well as Citius Mag and 2 Black Runners.

The 2024 TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance is housed at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Halls 3B, 3D, and 3E, at 11th Avenue at West 36th Street. The Expo will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance is one of the country's largest running expositions, with an array of New Balance gear and accessories including the official TCS New York City Marathon collection, and course amenities offered by New York Road Runners partners. There are numerous vendors and exhibitors, a runners’ name wall featuring all 50,000-plus registered entrants, the NYRR Running Lab featuring tips and insights from our coaches, and more.
