NYRR’s premier event, and the largest marathon in the world, is the TCS New York City Marathon. Held annually on the first Sunday in November, the race features 50,000 runners, from the world’s top professional athletes to a vast range of competitive, recreational, and charity runners.
New York Road Runners has a rich history. Over the past 60 years, we've grown from a local running club to become the world's premier community running organization with a mission to help and inspire people through running.
The NYRR Run Clean initiative celebrates the union of competition and individual achievement while working to ensure that runners compete in a healthy and fair environment. Through education, testing, and advocacy, the NYRR Run Clean initiative is committed to fostering a healthy environment for runners to compete on a level playing field.
Team for Kids is NYRR's charity running team, made up of a committed group of adult runners from around the world who add meaning to their miles by raising funds for NYRR's Youth and Community Services programs while training for major endurance events. These funds go to free youth running and fitness programs for kids who would otherwise have little or no access to regular physical activity.
The NYRR Five-Borough Series showcases New York Road Runners' commitment to the individuals and communities in each borough since 2014. More than just five races, the Five-Borough Series — the United Airlines NYC Half, the Popular® Brooklyn Half, the NYRR Queens 10K, the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, and the NYRR Staten Island Half — is a celebration of what makes each borough unique, inspiring, and an amazing place to get out and get moving.
