Which country will top the leaderboard? Run this free virtual race and help your country take the top spot on the World Championship leaderboard. Dynamic leaderboards will keep you updated on all the action throughout the race window. We’ll share the top 10 fastest countries, the fastest men, the fastest women, the countries with the most participants, and other fun leaderboard metrics. And because we can’t all be the fastest around, we’re also hosting a Lucky Leaderboard—stay tuned for more details. All finishers will receive 2019 Virtual World Championship digital country badges.

Year-End 5K PR Series
Finish your year strong by signing up for the last three 5K races of the 2019 NYRR Virtual Racing series, then do your best in each race to beat your best time. Registrants will receive 30 days of Strava Summit to help them achieve their goal. Finishers of the Year-End 5K PR Series will receive a limited-edition medal to commemorate their accomplishment. Here’s how to join:
- 1. Sign up for Race #1: NYRR Virtual World Championship 5K a. During registration, add the 5K PR Series to your cart. You only need to add the Year-End 5K PR Series one time with the NYRR Virtual Championship 5K race. You will automatically be enrolled in the Year-End 5K PR Series once you sign up for the other two races.
- 2. Sign up for Race #2: TCS New York City Marathon
- 3. Sign up for Race #3: NYRR Virtual Turkey Trot 5K
NYRR Virtual 6 Program
We are no longer accepting new runners into the 2019 program. Runners who have already started the 2019 program may continue to sign up at the NYRR Virtual 6 entry level to continue their journey to earning guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2020 Popular® Brooklyn Half as part of the NYRR Virtual 6 program.
What Is an NYRR Virtual Race?
A virtual race is a race that can be run at your convenience during a specified period of time. To participate in NYRR Virtual Racing, create your free Strava account, sign up for a race, and run or walk the distance of the race on a course you select wherever you are.
