New to the NYRR summer schedule, the NYRR R-U-N 5K is a unique, social-themed weekday run in Central Park, with pre-race activities starting at 5:30 p.m., including a DJ, photobooth, outdoor games, and a hangout space, and in-race features including a dance station and sparkling cider fluid station. Runners can choose to be corralled by time or by social interests. More information is available here.
TCS New York City Marathon Long Training Run #2 (sold out)

Join thousands of runners in Central Park as they prepare for November’s TCS New York City Marathon with their second long training run, featuring built-in fuel at the 102nd Street Transverse, pace-setters, and training partners. Participants will be divided into groups based on pace. All groups will cover 20 miles, but individuals may shorten their distance to suit their training needs. More information is available here.

This race honors the late Percy Sutton, who as Manhattan borough president in the 1970s championed the New York City Marathon as a five-borough event. The run celebrates historic Harlem and is part of Harlem Week, one of the northeast area's largest cultural celebrations. NYRR’s Run for the Future program concludes at this event, offering rising high school senior girls the opportunity to complete a training cycle and earn money towards college, and members of NYRR’s Senior Striders participate in the walk.
