NYRR Al Gordon 4-mile Saturday, February 21, 2015 8:00 a.m., Prospect Park, Brooklyn PR Contact: Emily Gallagher, NYRR, egallagher@nyrr.org, or (o) 212-423-2287 (c) 646-737-3840 |
Al Gordon exemplified NYRR’s motto, Run for Life. He was a standout track runner in college. Gordon was an NYRR board member and benefactor. He started running marathons in his 80s and exercised regularly until the end of his life in 2009—at age 107. This four-mile race is a celebration of health and longevity; it is a "classic" race that brings back the feel—and the pricing—of our past-time events. This race is a blast from the past and perfect for a runner on a budget. |
