Ahead of this week’s NYRR Summer Community Run, we are featuring one of our social running clubs in the area, Old Man Run Club, for this edition of A Quarter-Mile With.

Fartlek or tempo? Fartlek—everytime.
Favorite NYRR race? TCS New York City Marathon.
Favorite race distance? 26.2 miles.
Favorite distance to run? Anything I can get done in under two hours.
Running hero? I don't have one—yet.
Post-race meal? Rice and Beans. Don't ask!
Cold-weather or warm-weather running? Cold and I mean ice cold.
Treadmills: yay or nay? That would have to be a nay.
Most exotic place you’ve run? Does Van Cortlandt Park count as exotic? I think so.
Race-day inspiration quote? I have two: “Finish your breakfast” and “Do it for everyone who can't.”
Toughest race course, in your opinion? TCS New York City Marathon.
Song that makes you want to go faster? “X Gon' Give It To Ya” by DMX.
You can run alongside any three people in the world: Who are they? My friends Eugene, Ryo, and Jimmy.
Your club, in five words or less? If you want to run far, go with OMRC. Sorry, brevity isn't my forte.
