New York, July 18, 2024 — Nonprofit New York Road Runners (NYRR) announced today that iHeartMedia New York will be the first-ever Official Broadcast Radio Partner for the TCS New York City Marathon in 2024 – connecting the audio company’s millions of listeners across multiple platforms to the best day in New York City.

In addition to live TCS New York City Marathon race coverage on iHeartMedia New York’s 710 WOR AM and Q104.3HD2, iHeartMedia will promote the event across its radio, streaming, and digital platforms the four months leading into November, as well as promotional support for NYRR’s other races throughout the year.

New York Road Runners and iHeartMedia’s partnership will include:

  • Live race-day radio broadcast distribution rights of the TCS New York City Marathon on iHeartMedia New York’s 710 WOR AM and Q104.3HD2, featuring the official world feed broadcast with cut-ins along the marathon course from iHeart personalities.

    • The Q104.3HD2 broadcast will be used for the radio headsets distributed to spectators across the city, allowing them to listen in on the live action anywhere in the five boroughs..

    • Promotion of the TCS New York City Marathon broadcast and NYRR events across iHeartMedia New York radio stations, including Z100, 103.5 KTU, Q104.3, Power 105.1, 106.7 LITE FM, and 710 WOR AM.

  • iHeartMedia New York talent Garrett Vogel from Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show will run the TCS New York City Marathon and report on his training journey.

  • iHeartMedia New York will have a booth at the TCS New York City Marathon expo during race week.

The TCS New York City Marathon is one of 60 adult and youth races put on annually by NYRR, a New York City-based nonprofit whose vision is to build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running. New York Road Runners has served communities across New York City for close to 70 years through inclusive and accessible running experiences and will look to highlight that on iHeart’s platforms.
