New York Road Runners Launch Registration for the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half

Title sponsor United Airlines extends partnership with six-year agreement

New York, October 18, 2018 – New York Road Runners (NYRR), the world’s premier community running organization, today announced that registration is open until November 14 for the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half. Runners can register at NYRR.org for the race which will take place on March 17, 2019.

The event marks the six-year extension of United Airlines as a foundation partner of NYRR and the title sponsor of the NYC Half. As part of the expanded agreement, United Airlines will have onsite activations, hospitality, integrated marketing opportunities, brand exposure, and inclusion at the TCS New York City Marathon and the NYRR Five-Borough Series — consisting of the United Airlines NYC Half, the Popular Brooklyn Half, the NYRR Queens 10K, the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile, and the NYRR Staten Island Half. Additionally, United Airlines will be an annual sponsor of the NYRR Night of Champions, which raises funds to support free youth and community programs.

The event’s 13.1-mile course gives runners the opportunity to pass by many of New York City’s most popular sights, including Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, the United Nations, Grand Central Terminal, Times Square, and Central Park. Last year’s event featured an event-record 21,965 runners.

The application for entry into the 2019 United Airlines NYC Half will open at 12:00 p.m. ET on October 18, 2018 and will close at 11:59 p.m. ET on November 14, 2018.

The drawing will take place on November 28, 2018.
