Former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason will lead Team Boomer at the sixth-annual Run to Breathe. This four-mile run through Central Park helps support research for a cure to cystic fibrosis and benefits the thousands of Americans with cystic fibrosis improve their quality of life. This brand-new, members-only Classic Race will bring back the feel – and pricing – of yesteryear. For $10 NYRR members can participate in a timed and scored 5K through the beautiful Flushing Meadow Park. Proceeds from the race will help fund youth and community running and walking events throughout the five boroughs.. No T-shirt, physical awards, or post-race activities will be provided. Join thousands of runners gearing up for the fall marathon season! This noncompetitive long training run features built-in fuel, pace-setters, and training partners. Participants will be divided into groups based on mile pace. All groups will cover 20 miles, but individuals may shorten their distance to suit their training needs.
