As a part of the annual Scotland Week festivities in New York City, runners will bring their tartan style to Central Park and show their love for Scotland at the 13th annual Scotland Run (10K). The event attracts runners from across the globe, many of whom are outfitted in kilts, traditional tartan and face paint. For the second time, as part of the NYRR Youth Running Series at the Scotland Run, young runners ages 7-18 can take part in a 1.7-mile race in Central Park.  Kids are invited to dress up and join the fun. For more information about the event, please visit the website here.

The 13th Annual MORE/ SHAPE Women's Half-Marathon brings together thousands of women of all ages and backgrounds for a day of fun, fitness, and camaraderie in New York City. The event is backed by guests from NBC’s TODAY show, and three-time Olympian Deena Kastor is returning to Central Park for her fourth appearance in the event. This 4-mile race raises funds and awareness for the fight against lung cancer and honors former Chase Manhattan Bank chairman Tom Labrecque, a lifelong never-smoker who died from lung cancer at age 62. Thousands of runners will “run as one” to raise money to support lung cancer research and awareness. For more information about the race, please visit here.

In addition to the aforementioned 4-mile race, participants of all ages are also welcome to join a 1.4-mile walk to show their support for the fight against lung cancer. The walk will begin on Central Park's East Drive at approximately 68th Street and head south, finishing on the Transverse at Bethesda Terrace. Visit here for more information.
