The Brooklyn Half—Marathon bib pick up is now open at E. 89th St. Come early and avoid the long lines. Details here.
The rain held off and runners of all ages and fitness backgrounds poured into Central Park for the 20th annual City Parks Foundation Run for the Parks, held on Earth Day, April 22. Though steady showers had been in the forecast, it was dry—though chilly and breezy—when the starting horn sounded at 8:00 a.m. on East Drive at 68th Street.
For some runners, moving at top speed is what it’s all about. The top finishers at the City Parks Foundation Run for the Parks averaged just over five-minute-per-mile pace for the men and right around six-minute-per-mile pace for the women. How does that compare that to your own per-mile pace in this race or in your most recent event.
