Highlights for AUGUST, 2008 include:
- Twelve thousand take on the City in the NYC Half-Marathon presented by Nike, the latest in New York Road Runners Professional Racing Series.
- The Manhattan Island Foundation sends off a select field in the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, presented by RCN. A twenty-nine mile sea level adventure.
- The running bond is strengthened in the Park to Park with a two race series…one in Naples and one in Central Park…staged by the Napoli Road Runners and New York Road Runners.
- Mt. Washington in New Hampshire is the highest peak in the northeast. Why stage a race? Because it’s there.
- The Manhattan Island Foundation gets more land lovers into the river in the Aquathlon: Stars & Stripes, a one mile swim followed by a three mile run.
- A Michelob Ultra Geat Moment in Racing. 1998. The Goodwill Games Five Miler on the FDR with a classic road racing sprint to the finish.
- The Nautica New York City Triathlon. You swim, you bike, you run, then you are done. Easy for you to say.
