At the Homecoming Scotland Run, more than 7,600 runners took on the extra challenges of steady rain, gusty winds, and lots of puddles along the six-mile loop in Central Park. The weather couldn’t quench the day’s upbeat mood, which was buoyed by fierce NYRR team-points competition.

This second NYRR team-points race of 2009 brought out deep, fast fields at the front. These leaders are at the half-mile mark.
