Front Runners New York Lesbian and Gay Pride Run

It was the 28th running of the Front Runners New York Lesbian and Gay Pride Run last Saturday, and more than 3,600 runners showed up to support the cause and celebrate the 30th anniversary of Front Runners New York (FRNY), a LGBT-friendly running and cycling club with more than 400 members.

These runners let their shirts speak their minds.


Rainbows, a symbol of gay pride, were abundantly displayed.

Despite the jovial atmosphere, competition was still tough.

The Westchester Track Club’s Abraham Ng’etich won by one second in 23:05.


WTC scored another win; Buzunesh Deba broke the tape in 26:43.


A diverse array of runners from local clubs raced to show support.

John Boggess powered up the hills to a 44:19 finish.
