Eating and drinking right are the keys to staying healthy, having great workouts, and recovering well. Runners need to learn how much of each food group to consume, which vitamins and minerals are necessary, and how to make the right choices when eating out. While there is no substitute for the individual advice you can get from an appointment with a sports nutritionist, there are simple steps that all runners can take to stay healthy and well-fueled on the run. The event will include a discussion of eating to boost the immune system, in light of the recent swine flu scare.
