NYRR President’s Circle Program

To celebrate and recognize the New York City area’s most competitive athletes, NYRR has created the President’s Circle program. NYRR members who achieve one of the time standards below within a fully scored NYRR event will be entered into the program. NYRR Champion’s Circle athletes are eligible for complementary entry into NYRR events (the NYC Half-Marathon and ING New York City Marathon are excluded), and will be recognized on the NYRR website.

2009/2010 President’s Circle Entry Standards

5K – Men: 15:00/Women: 17:00

4M – Men: 20:00/Women: 22:30

5M – Men: 25:00/Women: 28:15

10K – Men: 31:30/Women: 35:30

HM – Men: 69:00/Women: 77:30

Marathon – Men: 2:30/Women: 2:50

[President’s Circle Qualifiers]

Eligibility Rules

1. Athlete must be at least 19 years of age.

2. Athlete must be a New York Road Runners member who has achieved at least one of the time standards above in an NYRR event since January 1, 2008. Membership for at least three months prior to the qualifying performance is required.

3. If an athlete’s membership expires during their period of eligibility for complimentary entry, their eligibility in the program will be suspended until the membership is renewed.

4. If an athlete does not meet one of the standards above during their period of eligibility for complimentary entry, their eligibility in the program will end at the conclusion of the calendar year.

5. The qualifying window for the 2009 President’s Circle program runs from January 1, 2008, through December 31, 2009. The qualifying window for the 2010 President’s Circle program runs from January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2010.
