Course
All courses are subject to change. Check back here the day before the race for final confirmation.
Start on Center Drive heading east. Make a left onto East Drive. Follow it to West Drive continue the loop around the southern end of Prospect Park. Continue up the East Drive and make a left back onto Center Drive to the finish..

Number Pickup /Registration
Entrants are required to pick up their numbers, scoring tags, and race souvenirs in advance. Materials may be picked up at NYRR, 9 East 89th Street, on:
• Thursday, December 10, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
• Friday, December 11, 1:00-7:00 p.m
Numbers and scoring tags will be available at P.S. 154 - The Windsor Terrace School (1625 11th Avenue at Windsor Place) on race morning, Saturday, December 12, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Race souvenirs will be available in the school from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. If checking in on race day, please be sure to allow yourself enough time to get to the start.

Volunteers
Volunteers should enter Prospect Park at 16th Street and Prospect Park Southwest, and head straight to Center Drive. The volunteer tent will be on the right side of the road.
Directions to Race
Subway: Take the F train to 15th Street/Prospect Park. Exit out at 16th Street/Prospect Park SW. Follow Prospect Park SW south to the park entrance at 16th Street. There will be signs directing you into the park and to the school for registration.
Take the 2/3 to the Grand Army Plaza stop. Enter the park and walk south. You will see signs for the start. Please note: this is approximately a .7 mile walk.
Take the B/Q to the Parkside Avenue Station. Exit the station at Ocean Avenue and Parkside Avenue. Head north on Ocean Avenue. Follow the signs to registration and the start.
Driving: Head south on the FDR Drive to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Turn right at I-478 S (toll road). Merge onto I-278 W (BQE). Take exit 24 on the left to merge onto NY-27 E/Prospect Expressway. Take exit 4 for 10th Avenue toward 11th Avenue. Turn right at 10th Avenue. Take the first right onto 20th Street. Take the first right onto Prospect Park West. Take a right onto Prospect Park Southwest.

[Scoring and results procedures]
This is a scored race that counts toward the nine races NYRR members as of January 2009 need to be eligible for guaranteed entry to the ING New York City Marathon 2010.
Baggage Facilities
Free baggage facilities will be provided as a convenience. If you are planning to use this baggage service, bring an inexpensive bag and leave your valuables at home. New York Road Runners is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Rules of Competition
All NYRR races are organized and directed under USA Track & Field rules and regulations. Entrants must also comply with City of New York, Parks & Recreation and NYRR rules. Failure to do so may result in offenders being disqualified and possibly banned from NYRR events, including the ING New York City Marathon. [Click here for rules.]
