Volunteer Opportunities

NYRR’s annual calendar features more than 100 running/walking events throughout New York City, including road races ranging from 1 to 50 miles, cross country races, indoor track meets, and kids races. We need and greatly appreciate the assistance of volunteers at all of our events.

We are now pleased to offer a new online Volunteer Sign-Up System for our weekly races! Simply click the link below and you will be directed to a sign-in page, which will take you to a list of races. From there you can expand a race to see the list of available volunteer jobs. Certain assignments may fill up quickly, so sign up early.

NYRR members who are volunteering in order to gain guaranteed entry into the ING New York City Marathon must enter their member number when they sign up to volunteer. Go to http://volunteers.nyrr.org to sign up. Important! Be sure that we have your correct phone number and e-mail address in the volunteer system, even if you think NYRR has this information in another place. The only way to do this is to update your profile in the volunteer system. After your log-in is complete, click on the "Profile" box. Enter your correct telephone number and current e-mail address, confirm e-mail address, and click "Save."
